The presentation of a series of Paint Shop Pro 7 tutorials
developed by talented VU alumni including many artistic basic pointers. These tutorials
include animated stained glass windows, constructing pictures with tubes, and
animating butterflies.
Prerequisites: Students must have Paint Shop Pro 7 installed on their computer
and a Web site where homework projects can be viewed. This is not a beginner's course.
A working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro 7 is necessary.

Introduction to Copyright Law
The primary focus is on copyright in the United States but worldwide treaties
also will be discussed. Insightful weekly lessons dispel many popular myths and
examine modern copyright law which has been substantially revised in recent years.
The course also explores how the law is evolving to catch up with Internet technology.
This workshop was created for VU by writer/editor and network administrator Richard Dean
who has 20 years' experience building virtual communities. Prerequisites: none

by award-winning web designer Tari Akpodiete.
Weekly lessons present simple instructions and working JavaScript
examples that you can use in your own web pages. Learn to write the code
for crowd-pleasing favorites: drop-down navigation menus, image rollovers,
and other leading edge web design techniques
Prerequisites: A basic knowledge of HTML and the ability to create a simple
web page are necessary for this course. Beginning HTML topics will not be
covered in this class.
