Week Two Summer 2003

Picture Tubes
Homework

1) Read through all lessons and practice exercises

Properties of Picture Tubes

Scale - Used to adjust the size of the picture tube to be placed into the graphic.
Step -   Determines the distance in pixels (1 to 500) between the center of each picture that you paint in a straight line.
Placement - Determines how the images are to be placed as a mouse is drawn across the image. Each setting reacts with the Step Size setting. Continuous will place them evenly spaced by Step Size and Random will randomly space them between 1 pixel and the step size.
Selection::
-   Random selects images randomly.
-   Incremental selects images one by one from top left to the bottom right.
-   Angular selects images based on the direction you drag the cursor as you paint.
-   Pressure selects images based on the pressure you apply on a pressure-sensitive tablet.
-   Velocity selects images based on the speed you drag the cursor as you paint.
